I feel that this work summarises my life as a nonbinary person, living in a cis world. There is an expectation for me to have an explanation about myself ready at all times when the reality is that I just am who I am.<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aki Hassan is a multi-disciplinary artist who shifts between drawing, printed matter, sculpture and installation. They studied in Glasgow School of Art, pursuing the Sculpture &amp; Environmental Art course. Drawing has always been an important part of their practice, however Glasgow opened them to comics as a format, to explore mental health and its intersections with their nonbinaryhood.
