Lose yourself in a world of risograph artwork!

Walk Don’t Walk is an exhibition of diverse new work by 19 artists, comic makers and illustrators, each pushing the limits of RISO production.

Printed at the Out of the Blueprint studio in the historic Drill Hall, the artwork forms part of an installation by our fellow studio holders, architects & designers Biomorphis, filling the Drill Hall with a huge RISO machine-inspired structure.

Featuring everything from narrative illustration to genre-bending artwork, this exhibition is a vital and vibrant snapshot of contemporary Scottish creativity.

Out of the Blueprint is a social enterprise print studio based at Out of the Blue Drill Hall. Our mission is to support young artists to realise their potential, whatever stage they’re at.

Since we started Out of the Blueprint in 2015, we’ve worked with over 200 young artists from across Scotland. From our hometown of Leith, to Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and beyond, we’ve been blown away by the talent, creativity & perseverance we’ve seen from comic-creators, illustrators
and artists.

We’ve hand-picked 19 artists for this exhibition to celebrate our 5th Birthday. It’s a strange time to be celebrating, but we think it’s important to look forward with optimism and do what we can to support a new generation of artists.

Walk Don’t Walk is our way of capturing this moment in time, and offering a bright, colourful and hopeful view of the future.

Open 10am-5pm Monday-Friday
